Cherry Blossom Family Portraits–Vancouver Spring Family Photography

I don’t know when I began a love affair with cherry blossoms. They have become a recurring motif in my artworks, and one of my favourite background for portraits. Unfortunately because its delicacy and fragile season, I can never predict when is the best portrait season with cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are only in their peak condition for one to two weeks. As soon as rain hits the pavement, the sensitive petals would wither and the ground would be covered in white and pink. That makes it even more difficult to arrange for overseas clients. However, when I can arrange a portrait session at cherry blossoms’ peak season, the result was much worth the effort.

We definitely worked around our schedule around the cherry blossoms for this portrait session! The weather forecast didn’t look promising for the scheduled weekend. The Fung family (we have the same last name!) toyed with the idea of postponing the session by one week. I suggested that, we can definitely wait a week, but I am afraid the cherry blossoms can’t. Thank you the Fung family for taking my opinion. It was an overcast day, and it started drizzling towards the end, but I think that the result was well worth it.

The album just arrived today. I must say, I love the album! It’s my favourite album cover I have done so far! Thank you Album Epoca for doing such a nice job!

Michelle Kuen Suet Fung 馮捲雪

Intricate, delicate and very cute drawings and paintings by Chinese Canadian artist Michelle Kuen Suet Fung.
