Happy Chinese New Year!

The Year of Dragon sees a busy start in the studio.

During the weekend of 24-26th February 2012, six pieces of Into the Woods original drawings will be featured in <Very, Vary>, a group exhibition of 12 young Asian artists selected via Asia Top Gallery Hotel Art Fair 2012‘s Young Artist Competition.

The fair is in its 7th year, and 2012 sees its third year in Hong Kong. I was sad when I couldn’t attend the fair in person 2 years ago when some of my Humanimals paintings were featured at the fair.

Right after that, I will board a plane to Beijing to mount my first solo exhibition there at hi art store (Hurrah!) This will be the first and last time I will show my entire alphabet series I Don’t Know if You Know How Much I Love You.

Now, time to have some yummy Chinese puddings! Gung Hay Fat Choy!

A group exhibition “Angel Christmas & New Year’s Party” at hi art store, Beijing until 5th March 2012, and “Art Edition” Art Fair with Sense Art Studio 8-11 December 2011. hi art store is where I will have my solo exhibition in March 2012. Very excited to go back to Beijing after a 10+ year gap. Am sure the city doesn’t look the same.

Thank you to both parties for the great photos as I was unable to be there in person!

Now back to my drawing table!

OMG, so cute! They used one of my paintings as the "Happy New Year" campaign!

2011 to 2012

by snow on Dec.31, 2011, under blog

Last week my friend causally mentioned that 2011 has been another quick year. I said, not for me. Last year was countless laughter and endless tears.

I love my studio

Michelle Kuen Suet Fung 馮捲雪

Intricate, delicate and very cute drawings and paintings by Chinese Canadian artist Michelle Kuen Suet Fung.
