deena_nathan1What’s your style?

Artistic.

Creative.

My portrait style is greatly inspired by my love for landscape photography from an early age. My outdoor portraits always glow with luminous colours, whereas indoor portraits flow with emotions.

I use a wide range of lenses and lighting equipment to achieve the effect you have in mind. My favourite is to use a wide angle to feature stunning scenery in the background.

Art at snow photography is an exclusive studio. I only serve a small number of clientele every year. That means, I have the luxury of time and energy to devote to your project.

Only the best products and suppliers are used in the studio. All products are archival, and all products are meant to outlast my lifetime.

What is a typical portrait session like?

The experience begins with the initial phone call where I learn about your needs and stories. You are always invited to a complimentary consultation at my studio in Kerrisdale, Vancouver. A consultation is highly recommended so that I can deliver exactly what you have in mind. Here, I spend time to know your story, and to understand why these portraits are so important to you.

If we choose the shooting location to be your home, a home visit is also included. The home visit is essential to ensure that the right equipment is brought to the portrait session, and that the setting is ideal for the portraits. If we choose an outdoor location that I am not familiar with, I will also do a complimentary location scout on my own.

During the portrait session, you will get to interact with each other. Some of the portraits will be classically posed, whereas others will be fun and candid. That means, you will get those images to please the grandparents, at the same time, you will get the creative images that I am known for!

Most of all, the session is fun!

We will book the theatre-style Premier Viewing session at the end of the portrait session. You will be invited to enjoy the images within 14 business days.

Depends on the products you choose, the production time is 3 – 16 weeks.

Do you give digital negatives?

The only package that comes with digital negatives are art at snow wedding day and pre-wedding photography packages.

You are welcome to take the images on the facebook fan page for your wallpaper or your iphone!

deena_nathan2What’s your payment term?

Cash, cheque or paypal (processing fee.)

Please note that the full session fee is required to reserve the portrait session. 50% of the wedding day or pre-wedding package price is required as a retainer.

Please note that full payment must be received before product production.

Who has the copyright of the portraits?

As any other professional artist, I retain the copyright of all images taken. When digital negatives are purchased, clients are free to make unlimited copies and share online for personal usage.

All images are also protected under Artist Moral Rights. Clients are asked not to alter the images in any way (making coloured versions into B&W, or using iphoto to “improve” the images.) All images have undergone meticulous care to arrive at perfection. I am more than happy to discuss the kind of digital artworks you wish to have done to you images.

What if it rains on the portrait or engagement session day?

If your timeline and schedule allows, I am happy to reschedule once. We will also determine a backup location if weather poses as a problem.

I shoot outdoor in the winter all the time. While it’s a mild inconvenience, it is never a problem.

edmond_janetI don’t know if I want to hire you…

Give me a call!

Tell me your ideas. Bring up your concerns with me.

We may click right away! Or if I find out that this is not the best studio for you, I will refer you to one of my friends in town!

You still have questions…?

Definitely give me a call.
